Newsroom Ready: Trudeau, Ford, look for common ground after divisive election

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Ontario Premier Doug Ford spoke in Ottawa Friday, their first meeting since the federal election campaign Friday. Ford shrugged off as "politics" the fact that Trudeau spent most of the campaign harshly critical of the Ontario premier's policies. The two say they want to focus on what they can agree on, including infrastructure, public transit and health care improvements.
